Maximum of 4 Members are allowed per team.

The whole event consists of two rounds:

Prelims:

In this round, the Autonomous Robot has to follow a given wall path within a given time limit. There will be two trials for each team. One has to qualify the prelims to go to the next round.

Finals:

  • The Final round is a mission that has to be accomplished using both the robots.
  • There will be three trails. The best two will be taken for judging.
  • The autonomous robot will start from the Red Square and the manual robot will start from the Blue Square.
  • There will be a series of drawers which are such that they can be pushed to a certain limit. The manual robot has to push the drawers to make a path which he feels is optimum. The path will be followed by the autonomous robot.
  • First the manual robot will push the drawers and then the autonomous robot will move. These two can be done simultaneous if the team feels convenient. OR  one can use a single robot (autonomous cum manual) which will first make a path and then it will come back to its starting point and start following the path.
  • At the starting of the trial, each team will be allotted a random color. Now, in the arena at the bottom of each drawer, there will be strips of four colors with equal spacing and in random order. The manual robot has to push the drawer's front end up to the chosen color. The manual robot has to make sure that it pushes the drawer to appropriate distance only. It should not cross the next color. If that happens, there will be a penalty.
  • Pushing the drawer to next color imposes a penalty, although you may get the check point cleared by the autonomous Robot.
  • During the game play, the autonomous bot should not touch the wall. If that happens , points will be deducted for each collision.
  • If an Autonomous robot crosses the desired color below the drawer (single) this will be counted as one checkpoint. So there will be a total of four check points.
  • The manual Robot can push more than one Drawer at a time, given that the Robot remains within the restricted dimensions.
  • The autonomous robot has to cross as many check points as it can and it has to finish the event by reaching the green Square.
  • The manual robot is allowed to move only in the arena and the black path (i.e. 2000mm x 2000mm), crossing the restricted area will lead to deduction in the total score.
  • Robots should not collide with each other; doing so will result into deduction of points.
  • A Total of 15 minutes will be given for three trials.
