Deadline for abstract submission extended till 20th Jan, 2010

Total Prize money worth INR 35,000.

  1. A team may consist of a maximum of 3 members. Students from different educational institutes can form a team.
  2. No human intervention permitted once the tank is released, nor active external control of the tank during operation (e.g., no control or guide wires, remote control)
  3. Vehicle should not stop before firing projectile. The projectile may be released from any point on the course.
  4. If vehicle stops somewhere in the middle of the wedge except for the stopping zone then the time of traverse for that team would be the highest time taken of all teams participating in the competition. And the total score of that team would be counted as S= (3t + 10) + 4R + D. (For score S look into the judging criteria.)
  5. If vehicle hits the wall, then 10 points will be added to the final score S.
  6. If the vehicle is not able to launch the projectile then D will be taken as the distance between the target and the base point of the wedge.
  7. The machine should not damage the arena in any way. If that happens, that team would face immediate disqualification.
  8. Please submit your abstract at gearloose[at]techkriti.org with the subject "Abstract : Gearloose" by 20th Jan,2010. Check the site and forum for updates.

  10. In case of any tie, the lightest machine will win.
  11. The team with lowest operating score (S) will win.
  12. In case of any discrepancy, judges' decisions will be final.
